Site Specifics 

 

Baptist Hospital Medical Center Jacksonville is the leading hospital in the region with an award-winning interventional stroke program, robust neurosurgical program, and multiple surgical specialties. The Heart Center performs 500+ open heart procedures annually and has recently implemented a structural heart program with services such as TAVR and mitral clipping. In addition, the main OR at this location experiences a heavy volume of all the surgical specialties and utilizes two new Da Vinci surgical robots for general, gynecological, and urological procedures. A recent partnership with The MD Anderson Cancer Center serves the communities’ growing need for comprehensive cancer treatment including surgical cancer intervention. Altogether approximately 18,000 surgical procedures were performed in the 35 operating suites in 2018 at this location.

 

Baptist Hospital Medical Center South is poised for growth as the site adds an additional 4 operating suites to the existing 8 suite operating room complex with expectations for continued increase in volume due to rapid population growth in the area south of downtown Jacksonville. This high-volume lower acuity full service OR provides the community with all surgical specialties, apart from cardiothoracic, totaling over 8,000 surgical procedures in 2018.

 

Baptist Hospital Medical Center Beaches is a newly renovated 6 suite operating room complex providing the Jacksonville Beach community with an array of surgical services. This high-volume low acuity full service OR performed over 7,000 surgical procedures in 2018.

 

The Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute is an outpatient surgery center that provides a complete range of orthopedic care and is comprised of 4 operating suites and is the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars Orthopedic team. This location primarily performs hand, wrist, shoulder, and knee outpatient procedures with a heavy emphasis on regional anesthesia.

 

 

Job Description

 

Our talented team of Anesthetists enjoy a wide scope of practice and provide anesthesia for all types of cases except pediatrics. The unique opportunity to provide obstetric and cardiothoracic anesthesia is offered to those interested. In addition to general, orthopedic, and gynecologic surgeries, neurosurgical anesthesia includes spine surgery, stroke interventions, aneurysm coiling, craniotomies, and open neurovascular. Supervision ratios are typically 1:3 or 1:4. Proficiency with regional blockade is not a requirement, however, Anesthetists will perform spinals and arterial lines. Weekend and weekday call are required however is infrequent and taken at home by beeper. US Anesthesia Partners is currently hiring qualified Anesthetists for a variety of shifts including, but not limited to, 13s, 12/8s, 10s, 24/8s. 

 

Qualifications

  • All USAP Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist must meet state licensure requirements.
  • CRNAs must complete and meet hospital credentialing requirements for the hospitals they will have privileges.
