We are looking for Fulltime, Call Taking Anesthesiologists to work in our care team at our Baltimore Washington Medical Center (BWMC) located in Glen Burnie, MD.
Common Cases: No Trauma, No Hearts, No Transplants, No Major Neuro, Bread and Butter cases, OB, Major Vascular
Administers anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods.
Monitors patient before, during, and after anesthesia and counteracts adverse reactions or complications.
Examines patient to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.
Confers with medical professional to determine type and method of anesthetic or sedation to render patient insensible to pain.
Records type and amount of anesthesia and patient condition throughout procedure.
May supervise or direct certified registered nurse anesthetists.
Positions patient on operating table to maximize patient comfort and surgical accessibility.
Informs students and staff of types and methods of anesthesia administration, signs of complications, and emergency methods to counteract reactions.
Responsible for breaking down the OR Anesthesia records, documenting appropriately in the chart and ensuring the Anesthesia related charges are submitted to the appropriate hospital departments.
Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, often to detect problems or to find out when things are finished.
Keeping up-to-date technically and knowing one's own jobs' and related jobs' functions.
Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles).
Physicians are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner in working with medical staff, patients and hospital personnel.
Physicians must comply with HIPAA, OSHA and all hospital rules and regulations.
Physicians must complete HIPAA online training as provided by US Anesthesia Partners.
Physicians will assist in the coding of anesthesia services.
Physicians license must be kept current at all times.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.
