Work at Memorial Hermann Northeast MICU. USAP is seeking a highly motivated entrepreneurial intensivist to staff new community mixed med-surg, cardiovascular, and trauma ICU at Memorial Hermann Northeast MICU. Physicians will work 180-200 hours/month, with no more than 4 in-house call shifts. Intensivist will be performing intubation, central line placement, dialysis catheter placement, lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, thoracostomy, paracentesis, emergent pericardiocentesis, and emergent cricothyroidotomy. Memorial Hermann Northeast MICU:
ICU Population: 24 beds community mixed medical-surgical ICU. Census can fluctuate between 8 to 24 patients. No hearts, no spine or cranial surgery.
Staffing: AM (0700-1700): One intensivist and one nurse practitioner. PM (1700 – 0700): one intensivist in hospital.
