We are actively recruiting CAA's to join our growing practice in Jacksonville, Florida.
Our downtown full time position would join a team of 27 anesthesiologists and a total of 20 anesthetists providing care at Baptist Jax, Baptist South, and Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute. Baptist is an award-winning hospital with distinctions such as Joint Commission Top Performer, Women's Choice Award for Best Orthopedics Hospital, and Top 30 Nurse Friendly Institutions. Partnered with MD Anderson, Baptist Hospital is a leader in cancer care for the region. Baptist Jax is a leading hospital in the region with an award winning interventional stroke program, robust neurosurgical program and multiple surgical specialties. The Baptist Jax cardiovascular hospital performs 500+ open heart procedures annually and has recently begun a structural heart program with services such as TAVR and mitral clipping. In addition, the main OR at this location sees a heavy volume of all other surgical specialties and utilizes two new Da Vinci surgical robots for general, gynecological and urological procedures. Altogether approximately 17,000 surgical procedures were done in 2017 at this location.
Baptist South is poised for growth with expectations for a continued increase in volume due to rapid population growth in the area south of downtown Jacksonville. This full service OR sees all specialties except Cardiac and Neurosurgery, totaling over 7,000 operative procedures. Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute is a center comprised of 4 operating rooms, and is the home to the Jacksonville Jaguars Orthopedics team. At this location we primarily do hand, wrist, shoulder and knee outpatient procedures with a heavy emphasis on regional anesthesia. Job Description Our anesthetists do all types of cases except obstetrics, pediatrics, and open heart.
