Join the largest, most established anesthesia practice in Northeast Florida and enjoy the flexibility of independent contractor (1099) work across Baptist Health hospitals and various ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) throughout Jacksonville

Job Highlights

About the Opportunity

    • $300/hour
    • Occurrence-based medical malpractice coverage (no tail required)
    • Work alongside a collaborative team of 50+ physicians and 90+ anesthetists within one of Florida’s premier health systems.
    • Coverage opportunities span multiple Baptist Health hospitals and ASCs across Jacksonville, offering variety, flexibility, and strong clinical support.
    • Baptist Health is consistently recognized among the Nation’s Top 100 Hospitals, Top 5 Hospitals in Florida, and the area’s Most Preferred Health System.
    • Broad and diverse case mix across multiple ASCs and Baptist Hospitals  
    • Call is not required, but opportunities to take call are available for those interested.
    • Work with a highly engaged, supportive USAP North Florida leadership team.

Qualifications

Candidate Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. with completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency.
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Anesthesiology (fellowship may be required depending on role).
  • Must meet all hospital credentialing requirements
