The USAP team at AdventHealth Orlando is now seeking a Medical Director for their pre-admission optimization clinics and the Nurse Practitioner services. As a Medical Director, Physician will have varied duties and responsibilities as described in this job description. Physician shall be the leader of the Program team and shall be responsible for the direction and quality of the medical compenent of the care rendered by all Medical Staff members and Hospital staff members of the Program. The Medical Director for pre-admission optimization services will provide administrative duties and oversees the medical compenents of the optimization plan of care for each patient. The Pre-Adminission Optimization Medical Director, and the other members of the interdisciplinary team, must collaborate with the patient's surgeon or attending physician, communicating any barriers for procedural readiness prior to day of surgery. Physician also agrees to perform the following professional and administrative Services for the Program as Medical Director:

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED:
REQUIRED
• Knowledge of medical physician skills in the performance of duties in compliance with the legal and ethical parameters established and based on the level of education and certification attained by the employee.
• Knowledge of business management and nonprofit management practices.
• Knowledge of budget preparations, implementation, and fiscal management.
• Knowledge of basic to intermediate application of Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as internet software.
• Knowledge of patient database system. (Epic)
• Knowledge of advanced supervisory practices and procedures.
• Ability to conduct interviews of prospective employees.
Additional Knowledge and Abilities:
• Knowledge of Anesthesia parameters and services provided by CFD Surgical Services.
• Knowledge and application of Surgical Services policy and procedures.
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies governing surgical and procedural activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to make professional presentations.
• Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse groups of both genders.
• Ability to be respectful and non-judgmental in all dealings with all individuals.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret government regulations involving all aspects of care, general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of organization/employee/patient/family/caregiver information.
• Ability to write effective correspondence including letters, reports, and other documentation.
• Ability to operate standard office machines such as fax, copier, calculator, and mail machines.
• Ability to provide superior customer service to all contacts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED
• Completion of an CGME or AO accredited Residency training program in Anesthesiology.
• Work experience in the field of Anesthesia with a minimum of one (1) year in Surgical or Procedural is required.
• Eligible to participate as a provider in the Medicare and Medicaid programs (including any successor program to either).
• Active (or provisional active) member in good standing on the Medical Staff of AdventHealth, with all privileges accorded such status.
• Participating provider in AdventHealth Healthcare System, Inc. ("AHHS") or its successor.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
• Currently Board Certified or Board Eligible and still within the Board Eligibility Period (as defined in the
Credentialing Policy) in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology or by the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology.
• Must hold a valid and current DEA.
